This year on July 4th, Americans across the USA will be Celebrating the 241st Birthday of our Nation. It brings along with it the picnics, parades, family reunions, barbecues and of course, the fireworks! We will pay tribute to our country and what it stands for. We will celebrate the freedom that comes along with living here. We will carry the pride of being an American a little bit more that day, showing off our Red, White and Blue. I know that my favorite part of this Holiday is spending it with my family, eating good food and making memories that will last us a lifetime. The long weekend is just an extra perk! Whether you are going away for the weekend, going to a relative/friends home, or spending it right in your own backyard, we hope you all have a fun, exciting, safe, memory making Independence Day! Please drink/party responsibly.

Well, after we all got used to being spoiled with the warmer winter we have been having we get slammed with a Chill Advisory that they are saying can be life-threatening in parts of Connecticut.. I came across a helpful, quirky article that can help you preserve the heat in your home during this freezing weather.. Just click the link below!! Stay warm and safe everyone!!
We have been incredibly lucky this Winter. It has been the most mild winter I think I have ever experienced in my lifetime. However, we should always be prepared as we all know that in New England the weather changes on a daily basis drastically. I have found that when you are not prepared, that’s when something goes wrong and you say to yourself, “If only I had done this…” According to Connecticut’s Department Of Transportation there are many things you can do to prepare you and your car for the roads during the Winter Season. Just click on their Link above, and you can read through and see if you are missing anything or maybe learn something new.

I know it’s sad to imagine the end of Summer has passed and Fall is in the air but it’s also a start to new beginnings and a lot of things to look forward to. An important issue to be attentive to while you are winterizing your home and yard is to correctly cover your pool and make sure it is done correctly to make your job of re-opening it next season easier and with no surprises.. The Link I found has a lot of helpful tips to make sure that your pool will be safe from the winter conditions that are on the way; and it will be here before we know it!

With Labor Day behind us and the last days of Summer approaching us it is time to think of preparing our homes for Fall, which starts September 23rd. I personally love this time of year; sweaters/hoodies, jeans, boots, bonfires, hot chocolate, pumpkin flavored everything, the cool crispness in the air and that’s just to name a few things. I love getting new Mum flowers and decorating the house with hay barrels with scarecrows and pumpkins… However, your home needs a lot more weatherization readiness; yes even for the Fall. Enclosed is a Link with some great ways to start a checklist of things to get done in preparation for the beautiful Autumn we have ahead of us.. It helped me, so I am hoping it helps give you some motivation and a starting point..

Clearly, working Customer Service, I hear daily about the ups and downs of Insurance from the Consumers point of view. I have come to realize that people who are looking for Quotes, or even those who already have Active Policies do not fully understand the Coverage they are putting on their vehicle. Those are huge decisions, depending on if you own a home, or if you are financing the vehicle. You NEED to understand exactly what coverages you need on your specific vehicle! Instead of me explaining it all and trying to type it all out, I found an amazing Link that says EVERYTHING I wanted to cover.. Follow this link for the whole break down so you can decide which coverages work best for you!
